My name is Kimberly Mae, author of “A Drill Sergeant’s Fame.” I’m delighted to have you as a visitor to my blog about my new book. This project is very special to me and1stblogpic1 I hope to share some of that excitement with you here.

My incentive for creating the book, “A Drill Sergeant’s Fame,” came after I had written most of my poems. A friend showed me that the words I wrote empowered others. He took copies of my poems, had his family members read them and then give me back a written review. After reading how my words impacted their lives and thinking about the females I helped through basic training, I realized then that there was a meaning to my writing. It was more than an outlet for my emotions and more than the sum of my essence. My words and experiences were meant to help others. To inspire them and give them a helping hand through their life’s journey. I then began to assemble everything I wrote since I joined the Army and started the publication process, creating “A Drill Sergeant’s Fame.”

I’ll be using this blog to interact with you about my book, expanding on some of the topics in it and posting on some of the ideas it relates1stblogpic2 to. This is also a great place for you to get to know me and I’m looking forward to getting to know you too. What did you think of “A Drill Sergeant’s Fame?” What questions do you have for me? How do you relate to my book? How have you inspired others?
